BIOGRAPHY HOER

The Dutch Industrial-rock band HOER started of as an experimental project in 1991. This project gradually evolved into a band form.

In March of '93 HOER released their first tape called 'DAWN' which proved to be a success thanks to some great reviews in DWARF, AARDSCHOK and MINDVIEW. In April of '94 the second tape 'OF BABYLON' was released. This tape again got raving reviews in both national an international press.

After this HOER has appeared on two compilation albums. The first was the prestigious DSFA6 compilation called 'PARADISE OF THE UNDERGROUND' on which you can find the song 'NOTHING'.

In '95 HOER appeared on the 'SONIC OBLITERATION' compilation which was released by the Canadian independent UTOPIAN VISION MUSIC.

In the year '96 (not '69) HOER has mutated a bit and now operates as a threesome.

The year '96 gave birth to the first album of HOER which is called 'LOST'. This album is released by the German label MOONLIGHT RECORDS, and it shows how HOER has grown/mutated over the time of it's existence. This album got great reviews in AARDSCHOK (8 8). And a stunning 9.5 in the Belgian magazine FANFARE.

In March of "97 HOER appeared on the cd compilation 'ALARM' with the song 'VIOLENCE WITHIN RELATIONSHIPS' and the TECHNOPATH (Walter Donkers) song DR GO which shows that there are more ways than one to use electronics in music.

In November of '97 HOER completed their recording for a new promo tape in their own studio and has been busy writing new songs which are a mixture of dance, classical music, hard techno and rock music.

Live shows of HOER are an atmospheric and powerful experience, you never know what to expect, as even the OOR, OPSCENE and AARDSCHOK zines have noticed. HOER has played the corners of the Netherlands and occasional gigs in Germany. HOER has played wave festivals, industrial parties and metal festivals and even dance events which proves that they can't be caught by just one net. Convince yourself by checking them out when they are in your area.
